All DART buses and trains meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, offering wheelchair lifts and other features to accommodate riders with disabilities.

Reduced Fares for Seniors and People
with Disabilities

DART riders who are age 65 years and older, as well as those who have a disability, are eligible to pay a reduced fare on DART.

Paratransit

DART Paratransit Service is an origin to destination, curb-to-curb, public transportation service for people with disabilities who are unable to use DART fixed route buses or trains. Paratransit is a shared-ride service operated with modern, accessible vehicles, and taxi cabs.

DART Paratransit-eligible passengers with a valid Paratransit ID ride free on GoLink. Personal care attendants (PCA) who are on file can also ride free. Reservations can be made by calling GoLink services at call214-515-7272

Travel Training

DART offers Travel Training to people with disabilities who may need assistance using public transportation. This training is particularly helpful for people not eligible for paratransit curb-to-curb service, or those eligible to use curb-to-curb service only for specific trips such as medical appointments.

ADA Complaint Process

DART has established a grievance procedure of prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging discrimination. The American Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 forbid discrimination against those with disabilities regarding employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications, and governmental activities.

Currently the GoPass app is only available for these smartphone operating systems:

  • Android version 6.0 (Marshmallow)
  • iPhone iOS11 and higher

To see which operating system your phone is using:

  • Android: Go to Settings – About Phone to view the Android version number.
  • iPhone: Go to Settings – General – About to view the iOS number.

  • DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) – Travel that begins in the Dallas area of Texas
  • DCTA (Denton County Transportation Authority) – Travel that begins in the Denton/Lewisville area of Texas
  • Trinity Metro – Travel that begins in the Fort Worth area of Texas
  • STAR Transit – Bus transportation in Kaufman County, Rockwall County, Mesquite, and Balch Springs areas of Texas
  • Tulsa Transit (Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority) – Travel that begins in the Tulsa area of Oklahoma
  • Citibus – Travel within the city of Lubbock, Texas
