Inclement Weather Preparations

DART is preparing for the cold weather and the potential impact to operations. The process of checking and maintaining generators at our facilities and working to treat walkways at our bus and train stations are a priority. Weatherizing our vehicles and train switches is part of their ongoing maintenance throughout the year.

Inclement weather can impact daily operations. This week, there is potential for ice and snow. For example, if the catenary system is impacted, DART will establish bus shuttles to help aid in transporting passengers. DART Transit Center hours will be extended when necessary. This allows us to make sure our customers are warm while temperatures drop below freezing. We are encouraging riders to sign up for rider alerts and use the GoPass App to receive the latest information. GoPass will also help you locate nearby warming stations, detour alerts, and other pertinent information regarding inclement weather.
