The DART Board of Directors has made the Discount GoPass® Tap card program permanent.
Current Discount GoPass® Tap card holders must renew by Dec. 31, 2024, to keep their discount.
During the first days of January 2025, DARTmart will be open for extended hours to give you more opportunities to renew your Discount GoPass® Tap Card registration:

A current participant card with an expiration date or an agency letter are valid forms of proof. They must have your name on them. Scan or take a clear photo of the document.
Have someone else take a headshot photo of you from the shoulders up, forward facing, square to the camera, with a plain neutral background. Do not wear a hat, sunglasses, or shaded glasses. Do not submit a selfie photo, a photo of a photo, or a photo or scan of your driver's license.
For tips on how to take a good photo with your cell phone, click hereWhen you tap your card, you are never charged more than the cost of a Day Pass (Local or Reduced) in a single day, or a Monthly Pass (Local or Reduced) in a calendar month. The system always gives you the "best fare."
For example, let's look at the following scenario:
8:00 a.m. | You tap your card, $1.50 will be deducted for a Reduced AM pass. |
11:30 a.m. | You board again and are charged nothing, because it is still within the AM Pass period. |
3:00 p.m. | You board (tap) again, the system charges you $1.50 for a PM Pass. Total fare for the day is only $3, exactly the cost of Reduced Day Pass. |

DART will freeze your account so that no one can use your card. You will still retain any funds that remain on it. However, you will be asked to add a $6 minimum value to your new card. This will be added to the overall balance
