Bus Stop Improvement Request

Bus stops play an integral part in how our riders experience public transit. DART strives to transform the passenger experience by improving the system infrastructure with new public transportation amenities.

Note:

All requests for new service, later service or route changes should be directed to the Customer Care at   214-749-3333.

This form is only for bus stop improvements on already existing lines or stops.

 

Bus Stop Improvement Request

 

In order to provide for passenger convenience, and to operate a safe and efficient transportation system, DART has established guidelines for bus stop improvements request. All requests for bus stop improvements - including stop adds, deletes and movements as well as amenity placements - must be initiated using this form.

Your request will be investigated and a response provided within two weeks of receipt by DART.

 

Please keep in  mind the following DART guidelines and standards when filling out the request form:

  1. Automobile and pedestrian safety
  2. Adequate spacing to allow efficient travel of buses
  3. Transfer convenience
  4. Existing curbs and sidewalks present
  5. ADA accessibility of location
  6. 25 or more daily boardings for placements of benc
  7. 50 or more daily boardings for placement of shelter
  8. A bench or shelter must be present for placement of trash can OR a trash can may be placed as part of DART's Adopt-A-Can program which requires requestor to maintain receptacle
  9. 25 or more daily boardings for placement of a guide-a-ride
