Single Ride (bus and GoLink only), AM, PM, and Midday Passes are being consolidated into a standard 3-Hour Pass. The Day Pass fare will remain the same, the Monthly Pass fare will increase, and the retail Annual Pass has been eliminated. Please see the chart below for a more detailed overview.
**Changes associated with calendar year-based programs (such as corporate, educational institution, and discounted fare programs) go into effect on January 1, 2025.
The amended fare structure will go into effect on March 1, 2025. However, changes associated with calendar year-based programs (such as the corporate, educational institution, and discount fare programs) went into effect on January 1, 2025.
Rider found it was confusing to figure out which pass to buy among the variety of passes available at different times of the day. The new fare structure simplifies our daily fare options into either a Day Pass or a 3-Hour Pass that can be applied at any time of day.
To avoid any disproportional impacts to riders, our Day Pass will remain $6, while the Monthly Pass price will increase to $126. Fewer riders are now using Monthly Passes, and the change will preserve more affordable service for the larger customer group who use Day Passes.
If you are a member of the DART Corporate Annual Pass program, Local Annual Passes will remain the same, with rates starting at $720 in January 2025, along with Regional Annual Passes starting at $1,440 (prorated each month). Pass options for riders not participating in the Corporate Annual Pass program include the Day Pass ($6) or the Monthly Pass ($126). For more information on becoming a Corporate Annual Pass program member, please visit DART.org/corp or email [email protected].
Yes. DART will continue to have fare boxes on its buses to accept cash fares. However, the single ride fare will now be replaced with a 3-Hour Pass at a cost of $3 for a local full fare and $1.50 for a local reduced fare. Fare boxes will issue 3-Hour Passes.
The Discount GoPass® Tap card program is now permanent. If you meet the qualifications, you will still be eligible to participate. For more information, visit DART.org/TapforHalf.
It depends on how you use DART. The cost of a Day Pass will remain $6, while the cost of a Monthly Pass will increase to $126 for a local full fare and $63 for a local reduced fare. The single ride (bus and GoLink only), AM, PM, and Midday Passes will be replaced with a standard 3-Hour Pass, which costs $3 for a local full fare and $1.50 for a local reduced fare. With fare capping, riders never pay more than the total cost of a local Day Pass in a calendar day or the total cost of a Monthly Pass in a calendar month.
Yes. Seniors aged 65 and older are eligible for a reduced fare, but they must register for a reduced fare GoPass® Tap card. To obtain their card, seniors will need to visit DARTmart at Akard Station in downtown Dallas or register online at DART.org/reduced. Seniors must complete an application and show a government-issued ID to receive a DART-issued reduced fare GoPass® Tap card.
